Additional Post Partum Doula Services:
Having professional in-home care far outweighs the value of the latest baby product on the market.  The Postpartum Doula is committed to being with your family during the time immediately following the arrival of your baby offering 24-hour assistance with the newborn child, sibling care, and parental support. Barefoot Birth Postpartum Doulas specialize in creating opportunities for new parents to bond with their baby and gain confidence in themselves as parents.  Post Partum Doulas also assist with the maintenance of daily chores including laundry, dishes and meal preparation to better transition parents into their new roles.

Investment for this service runs between $15 and $25 per hour.  Please contact us to inquire about the cost for daytime and overnight postpartum care.  Please see below for our policies on service pricing.

While expecting a new baby is a miraculous and joyous experience, it is also a challenging one for both expectant partners. Mothers-to-be need support in coping with hormonal changes, general fatigue, and other normal physical and emotional discomforts such as anxiety, stress, and confusion that are to be expected both during and after pregnancy. Fathers-to-be may also experience several discomforts during this period, that can affect their physical, mental, and emotional heath.

Massage Therapy is the perfect, proven way to reduce stress and promote general well-being. Specific Techniques that can benefit both expectant partners will help create a more pleasant total birth experience.

Ask about our infant massage lessons! Learn all the techniques and "how-tos" of giving your child a relaxing and comforting massage at home which will enhance your first bonding period and help with a variety of newborn issues.

Massages are done as outcalls in the greater Tampa Bay area. Appointments are available 7 days a week from 10:00am to 8:00pm. Payments are accepted in cash or personal check only. Insurance is not accepted, but receipts will be made available by request.

Massage Services and Pricing
•Integrated Relaxation Massage:  Relaxing firm pressured massage for the full body, including    back, legs, face, neck, shoulders, and feet.
•Pregnancy Massage: Massage treatment to address specific problem areas associated    with pregnancy. Performed with specific positions and techniques to increase comfort    and protect the baby.
•Craniosacral Therapy: Light touch therapy to improve mental clarity and motor function    while releasing the stress on the central nervous system. Recommended during    pregnancy.  Client remains clothed.

Many people prefer to let a professional photographer capture the moments surrounding the great milestones in their lives such as a graduation or wedding celebration, not only to have the highest quality product but to simply enjoy themselves during these special times. Your pregnancy and the early moments of your child's life should be no exception!

The beauty and resilience of an expecting mother deserves to be captured and treasured in photographs. For maternity photography to be most effective, it is recommended to schedule a session between 30 and 35 weeks, where a woman's pregnancy glow and belly-bump will create the most brilliant images.

Newborn photography is recommended to be scheduled within the first 10 days of your child's life. There is nothing more incredible than having a record of a newborn's first glimpses of the world; their first interactions with you and your partner as you enjoy their arrival knowing that these moments are saved forever.

Placenta Encapsulation

1-3 days after the birth we will prepare your placenta. Placenta encapsulation happens in two parts.

Step 1: Thanking and Preparing (1-3 days after birth):

• Thanking the placenta for its hard work.
• Prepare for steaming (optional)
• Steaming (optional)
• Dehydrating

Step 2: Grinding:

• Grinding the placenta.
• Placing it in capsules

Belly Casting

There is no more intimate or creative way to have a lasting memory of your pregnancy than with a belly cast!

Belly casting (belly masking/ belly sculpture) is the process of creating a plaster mold of a mother's belly during pregnancy, physically capturing the beauty of an expectant mother's body in an everlasting work of art.

The belly casting process is simple and takes only about 45 minutes to complete. After the cast is made, it can be left as natural plaster, or as many expectant partners choose, turned into an art piece through painting, collage, or other forms of decoration.

We invite you to create a masterpiece of your own! It is recommended to schedule a belly casting session between 36 and 39 weeks.
