Homeschool Art Class: The Art of Storytelling

Join the Heights Art Studio to explore narrative art over the next 6 weeks. We'll be studying examples of narrative art created by different illustrators, using different formats and mediums. Then, we'll create our own narrative art, combining the visual with the written word.

Students will choose a poem, song, or short story to bring to life through their illustrations. Students will explore watercolor, colored pencil, graphite and charcoal and will choose which medium they prefer to work in. We will also learn about composition, including the rule of thirds and framing, and different methods of creating storyboards.

This class is a great combo of the arts and literature studies.

6 week/ 1 hour classes $100 (includes all supplies)

Class is best suited for upper elementary through high school students.

Parents must stay at Community Roots Collective but are not expected to participate. Enjoy our lounge area and relax or get your own work done while your student creates!
